The 10 + 10 free scans and the 50 AI categorization rows reset on the 1st of each month. SimpleFIN bills its $1.50 a month for bank sync directly. Zedi adds no markup and never sees that payment. The Pro trial starts when you click Start in the app, asks for no card, includes 50 receipt and PDF scans and ends on its own after 30 days. Nothing is charged unless you pick a plan, and Go Pro starts the same trial first: your card is charged when it ends. SimpleFIN still bills its own fee if you connect a bank. Free stays free. Pro is opt-in, and you can cancel it any time in Settings.

What does Pro add?

Read-only bank sync through SimpleFIN, about once a day or when you press Sync now, plus unlimited receipt and PDF scans and AI categorization on our Anthropic key. Everything else is the same on both plans.

Why do I pay SimpleFIN too?

SimpleFIN runs the bank connection and bills you directly: $1.50 a month or $15 a year, plus tax. Pro ($3.50 a month) is paid to Zedi. All in, bank sync is $5 a month, or $45 a year on both yearly plans, before any sales tax. Zedi adds no markup and never sees your SimpleFIN payment.

How do I turn bank sync off?

Two steps. Disconnect the bank in Zedi under Settings, Connections & keys, then remove Zedi in SimpleFIN. Transactions already synced stay until you delete them. To stop paying SimpleFIN, cancel on their site.

How is my own Anthropic key different from Pro?

Both remove the scan limit. Your own key is a free setting on every plan, not a plan of its own: paste it in Settings, Connections & keys, and scans bill to your Anthropic account at Anthropic’s prices. Pro ($3.50 a month) pays for scans on our key instead, so there is nothing to set up, and it adds bank sync. Remove your key any time and you are back on the monthly allowance.

Is there a yearly plan?

Yes: Pro is $30 a year, about $2.50 a month. That is $12 (29%) less than twelve months at $3.50 a month. It renews once a year, and you switch between monthly and yearly, or cancel, in the same billing portal.

Can I try Pro before paying?

Yes. If you have never been on Pro, one click in the app starts a free 30-day Pro trial, with no card. It unlocks bank sync, 50 receipt and PDF scans, unlimited AI categories and priority support in our Discord. When it ends, those pause until you pick monthly or yearly, and nothing is deleted. If you pick a plan before the trial or during it, the trial runs first and the first charge waits until the trial ends (picked in its last two days, about two days after you pick it), and the trial's scan limit stays until that first paid charge. One trial per account. Bank sync in the trial still needs your own SimpleFIN subscription, which SimpleFIN bills ($1.50 a month); cancel on their site if you stop.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Settings, Billing, Manage opens the Stripe billing portal, where you cancel without writing to anyone. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to Free.

What happens to my data if I go back to Free?

Nothing is deleted: your transactions, receipts, categories, rules and people stay. Bank sync pauses: Sync now and the schedule stop, your connections stay listed so you can remove them, and everything already synced stays in Zedi. Receipt and PDF scans go back to the 10 + 10 monthly allowance on our key and AI categorization to 50 rows a month, or both stay unlimited with your own key.
